Acadian

I'm all about the Acadian style (or French Country or Louisiana, etc) with a big front porch and columns.  There's something very regal and inviting about it.  Several clients agree and have chosen this style.

Here is the house on Nottoway Lane in Lumberton.  It's nearly complete.  The granite is installed.  They were working on lighting and installing carpet yesterday.  The homeowner should be ready to move in within a week or two.

Here is the house I'm building in Orangefield.  The home has a very similar look to the front of the Nottoway home, but designed independently by a different designer.  Its going to have rock on the front rather than slurry.  The Nottoway house has a raised slab which creates a different look to the front.  The front porch is more pronounced with the raised slab, I think.

Here are some pictures of the inside of the Plantation Oaks Dr house.  Brick on the inside is very popular and looks great.  Here, there are brick arches in the dining room and over the front door.  It looks quite nice with the brick fireplace which sits across the room.  It all ties in well together.

Here are the kitchen cabinets and a view into the breakfast area.  I absolutely love the transom windows (upgrade that's well worth it!) and the bench under the windows.  This was custom designed by the homeowner.

Here's the outside of the same house.  Its another Acadian style that features a faux balcony above the front door and gives the appearance of a second story.  The railing for the balcony should be installed soon.
